Located in the heart of North-Western Zambia, Kalumbila District was carved out of the larger Solwezi District, comprising Solwezi West Constituency and Mushindamo (formerly Solwezi Central and Solwezi East). Strategically positioned off the Solwezi-Mwinilunga road in Mumbezhi Ward, Kalumbila Town Council covers 5,252 kmยฒ (2,028 sq. mi) with a population growth rate of 2.8% annually. The district comprises 12 wards and 4 chiefdoms.
